Japanese Cultural Festival 2010


Hey all~
Our annual Japanese Cultural Festival (25th - 26th Jan) is back, this time under the theme of 'Modern Japan'! The theme encompasses Japan as a country that embraces modernity without compromising on its traditional roots and the festival seeks to represent today's Japan in a microcosmic light.

So, what should you expect?

◎ Traditional festival games such as Yoyo Tsuri (ヨーヨー釣り) and Kingyo Sukui (金魚すくい), plus prizes!

◎Dressing up in a yukata (浴衣), with photo opportunities

◎Portrait sketching by anime artists

◎Cosplayers, with photo opportunities *You've definitely got to check out their elaborate costumes

◎Awesome sales of imported snacks and beverages from Japan (alcoholic beverages included!)

◎City spotlight: Morioka City in Iwate prefecture *Make this place your next holiday destination!

◎Quizzes plus prizes
