Japanese Cultural Festival

Our Japanese Cultural Festival is over!! Thank you to our sponsors and partnerships with Morioka Tourism and Convention Association (MTCA), Embassy of Japan, Mizkan, Beard Papa, Yamakawa, Kirei, Otaku no Uchi and others.

Our 2 day event has been featured on the website of MTCA at http://hellomorioka.jp/mtca Do take a look and you may find yourself there!

We have attracted the attention of J Plus, a local Japanese magazine!! Reporters came down to our JCF and they have written an article about us in their website at http://singapore.keizai.biz/headline/4908

A brief summary of what JPlus has written:

NTU's JAC has been holding the annual event of Japanese Cultural Festival since 1996 and this year's theme is 'Modern Japan'. The booths are divided and named according to the street names in Tokyo - Asakusa, Akihabara, Harajuku and Morioka City. These different booths are actually Yoyo Tsuri, Anime & Manga, Cosplay, showcase of Morioka City respectively.

The president of JAC, Lee Kuok Howe, has a deep understanding of the modern trends and lifestyles of Japanese. He then wishes to deepen people's interest in Japanese culture through various activities.

Entry is free for all.

No pictures as of now as I'm too tired to upload them now... Wait till next time! Stay tuned for the photos! (You might be in it!! ^^)
